TDECU and the Houston Texans: empowering Houston’s youth

At TDECU, our purpose is to help people navigate their financial journeys, no matter where they are along the way. We even offer foundational programs to help our children start off on the right foot, with the right tools and the right information.

Together, TDECU and the Texans will help support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston deliver their mission to inspire and enable our youth. Working with the Boys & Girls Clubs, we will open savings accounts for kids and teenagers, while also providing an introductory education to financial wellness.

And our work does not stop there. Throughout the 2021 season, TDECU will donate $300 to the Boys & Girls Clubs, each time the Texans reach the red zone.

Why did TDECU partner with the Texans?

We are partnering with the Texans to expand our reach across the greater Houston area and surrounding communities to provide more of the wonderful things we do to a larger audience – and have some fun in the process! It’s no secret that Texans love football, and the excitement that comes along with it – and we want to carry on that excitement through this unique partnership. As the Texans rebuild and strengthen their program, we want to show all Texans the value of a TDECU membership and our broad community outreach efforts.

What does the partnership mean for the community?

TDECU will support more community relationships, such as the Boys and Girls Club TDECU Red Zone promotion. Each time the Texans enter the red zone this season, we’ll make a $300 donation to the Boys and Girls Club. In addition to these donations, we will open savings accounts for youth that are a part of the organization and provide financial literacy education.

Will Member benefits be impacted?

Member benefits will be better than ever, with no additional costs to our Members. As a Member, will I receive free Texans tickets or discounts?

If you have the Houston Texans debit card from TDECU, then yes! Members with a Texans debit card will be entered into a drawing before every home game for a chance to win a pair of tickets throughout the 2021 regular season. Beginning October 17, 2021, Members who select or switch to the Texans debit card will be eligible to win one of 4 pairs of home game tickets.

Plus, Members receive 15% of Texans merchandise when making purchases through the Houston Texans online shop. 

Who is eligible for the ticket giveaway?

New and existing Members who select or switch to the Texans debit card between October 17, 2021 and January 4, 2022 are eligible for the giveaway. Please note you can only win tickets from this specific giveaway once.

When are the drawings for the home game tickets?

The drawings are held on Tuesday afternoons before each home game. TDECU will contact winners by phone the week of the home game. Winners must speak to a TDECU representative to accept the tickets so make sure to check your voicemail if you miss a call!

Once the tickets are accepted, winners should keep an eye out for two emails: (1) a congratulations email from TDECU, and (2) an email from Ticketmaster. The email from TDECU will include a photo release form and additional information about game photos, while the email from Ticketmaster will contain the pair of tickets.

How do I purchase tickets to a Texans game?

Limited pairs and single seats are available for select games. Visit ticketmaster.com or call Ticketmaster at (713) 629-3700, and they can assist you in purchasing single-game tickets. In addition, fans can also visit the NFL Ticket Exchange to check availability.
