What is a certificate of deposit (CD)?
A certificate of deposit is a secured time deposit, where money stays in the your account for a selected amount of time earning a promised return. A certificate of deposit is federally insured by NCUA and typically earns more interest than a savings account.
A jumbo certificate of deposit is a CD with an initial deposit greater than $100,000. Jumbo CDs earn an additional 0.15% APY* above our standard CD rates.
